Carter was captivated by Ellyson Evans the moment he laid eyes on her,
but she was the one girl who didn’t beg for his attention.
He wanted her.
Ellyson vowed to never fall in love, because love can destroy you,
but then she met Carter Jennings.
She wanted him.
Unwilling to risk their comfortable friendship, neither confessed their desires.
Losing touch after college, a chance meeting reconnects them.
They want each other.
But love in the city is never quite that easy.

Steph Nuss was born and raised in rural Kansas, where she currently resides with her black Labrador son named Gunner. She grew up with a passion for reading and writing. When she’s not immersed into the land of fiction, she enjoys listening to music that came before her time, watching movies and reruns of her favorite shows, and hanging out with her family and friends. She also has a bachelor’s degree in psychology that she’ll never use…unless she’s profiling her characters of course.

3.5 stars!

Friends to lovers is one of my favorite storylines. I love a good second chance romance!

Wanted by You is a very sweet, contemporary romance written in dual point of views. There’s very little angst. If you’re looking for a sweet love story, this is for you.

We first meet Carter and Ellyson when they are in college (I loved their first meeting), and then again when a chance encounter brings them back together years later. The sparks are definitely still there, and they feel them immediately.

The story goes back and forth, along with their POVs. We get glimpses into their past, which really helped to get to know them better, and understand how it helped shaped the people they are today. They just aren’t the same as they were in college. Life and experience has changed them greatly, and it was fun going on the journey with them as they entered each other’s lives again after such a long absence. Carter was very swoon-worthy, and Elly was such a relatable, witty heroine. I also really enjoyed the secondary characters as well.

I really appreciated that this story wasn’t full of unnecessary angst. There was enough happening just in their everyday lives to keep things interesting enough, without the addition of crazy drama. I do have to mention that I thought the story dragged a little bit in some parts. I also felt like while all the right components to make an amazing story were present, it just seemed to lack any major spark. It didn’t completely grab me and suck me in. With that being said, I still enjoyed it, and look forward to the next books in the series.
