Armed with two years' worth of savings and the need to experience life outside the bubble of her Oregon small town, twenty-five-year old Amber Welles is prepared for anything. Except dying in Dublin. Had it not been for the bravery of a stranger, she might have. But he takes off before she has the chance to offer her gratitude. Twenty-four-year-old River Delaney is rattled. No one was supposed to get hurt. But then that American tourist showed up. He couldn't let her die, but he also couldn't risk being identified at the scene—so, he ran. Back to his everyday life of running his family’s pub. Only, everyday life is getting more and more complicated, thanks to his brother, Aengus, and his criminal associations. When the American girl tracks River down, he quickly realizes how much he likes her, how wrong she is for him. And how dangerous it is to have her around. Chasing her off would be the smart move. Maybe it's because he saved her life, or maybe it's because he's completely different from everything she's left behind, but Amber finds herself chasing after River Delaney. Amber isn’t the kind of girl to chase after anyone. And River isn't the kind of guy she'd want to catch.

“I wouldn’t be too demanding of him if I were you.”

I warn. “He likes it when birds boss him around.”

This bird loved all the Irish lingo!

Burying Water is my first KA Tucker book, I am so impressed…I WANT MORE!

Amber sets off to Dublin Ireland to experience life outside of her town. What she never expects is running into danger. It shakes her down to the core, but she can’t get the piercing green eyes of the man, who saved her, out of her head.

River is one smooth Irishman. Born into a family and environment with the IRA (the author gives you a total back story on the IRA, about how and why they came to be). River could have followed in the path of most men his age, but thats not the life he wants. He wants to run his family’s pub and stay far away from the Irish mob. But that is next to impossible, with a brother who is neck deep involved in the organization.

The way the story is told is smooth and so thought out. I felt like KA puts her heart and sweat into her work. I cant express how much a difference in the reading experience that makes for me! I connect with the characters, like I am right there with them.

There was great suspense, action and the “chase” was fun! I tell ya, my favorite part of romance novels is the chase between the couples. I am picky, I don’t like to wait to long, but I also like the build up, the looks across the room. Gives me butterflies! There is one part where River taunts Amber with something and I ABOUT DIED for Amber. LOL! When a story makes you feel all those willie nillie feelings…that my friends is a good book!

I will now back track, and read all of KA Tucker’s books, she has a new fan!

PS- I want this book on my book shelf! The cover is what I first fell in love with and now must own it!
