In Thoughtless, Kiera told her story. Now it's time to hear from the sexy rock star who captivated us all . . .
The only place Kellan Kyle has ever felt at home is onstage. Gripping his guitar in a darkened bar, he can forget his painful past. These days his life revolves around three things: music, his bandmates, and hot hookups. Until one woman changes everything . . .
Kiera is the kind of girl Kellan has no business wanting-smart, sweet, and dating his best friend. Certain he could never be worthy of her love, he hides his growing attraction . . . until Kiera's own tormented heart hints that his feelings might not be one-sided. Now, no matter the consequences, Kellan is sure of one thing-he won't let Kiera go without a fight.
A problem this passionate book worm and romance lover faced was losing two nights sleep revisiting Kellan, Kiera, and The D-Bags. This epic love story has resonated with so many readers over the years. It’s one of those stories that guts you, wrecks you, and just leaves you emotionally drained. I’m so happy the author decided to share Thoughtless from Kellan’s POV.
‘For the first time in a long time, I was looking at someone who saw me. Not the rock star, not the playboy, but me. The real me. And for the first time in a long time, terror crawled up my spine. Kiera shivered, like she also shared my fear, then she disappeared with Denny.’
One of things I enjoyed most about this book was seeing the full dynamic of Kellan and Denny’s friendship. You did not get that in Thoughtless. The author shows their time together as teens when Denny was a foreign exchange student living with Kellan’s family. Kellan’s father was evil and abusive, and that was extremely painful to read about. I also liked seeing all The D-Bags together and their interactions at band rehearsals and such. That’s something else we did not get in first three books.
“Your real parents may have been shit, but the three of us, we’re your family now. Get that through your damn skull!”
“Hopefully, it was the beginning of a lifetime together. Because that was what I wanted with her. Forever.”
