First, I had to remember how to breathe. Then, I had to learn how to survive. Two years, three months and sixteen days had passed since I was the Rowe Stanton from before, since tragedy stole my youth and my heart went along with it.

When I left for college, I put a thousand miles between my future and my past. I’d made a choice—I was going to cross back to the other side, to live with the living. I just didn’t know how.

And then I met Nate Preeter.

An All-American baseball player, Nate wasn’t supposed to notice aghost-of-a-girl like me. But he did. He shouldn’t want to know my name. But he did. And when he learned my secret and saw the scars it left behind, he was supposed to run. But he didn’t.

My heart was dead, and I was never supposed to belong to anyone. But Nate Preeter had me feeling, and he made me want to be his. He showed me everything I was missing.

And then he showed me how to fall.

Hello, Bookworld. I’d like to introduce you to an up and coming indie author you HAVE to meet. Her name is Ginger Scott, and she writes from the heart. This is the second book I’ve read from Ms. Scott and it seems her writing gets better with each book she releases.I know what you’re thinking because I thought the same thing at first. Oh, no not another college romance. But, I have to say there is something about this story that captivated me, and I couldn’t put the book down. This is Falling is written from both of the main characters’ POV – Rowe and Nate. I felt these characters DEEP.

‘And then it’s there – the smile. The same look she had on her face in that picture. It’s joy. And I just gave it to her.
My God, do I want to give it to her again.’

I felt this book was two stories in one. One was about a budding relationship, and the other was a story of healing, letting go of guilt, and rebuilding a life. Those two stories collide to createTHIS IS FALLING.

‘And it happens all at once – just looking at him, I fall in love. But it doesn’t matter – because I can belong to no one.’

The author took hold of my emotions and was able to play with them like a finely tuned instrument.

I’m so glad the writer didn’t turn this into an insta-love affair or had the main characters immediately jumping into bed together. It was a slow burn, slow building, getting-to-know-each-other-first kind of romance. And those are my favorite kind of romances. I adore stories that have a deeper meaning. There isn’t any unnecessary drama or forced angst, just a good old fashion love story.

You better believe I’ll be reading more from Ginger Scott in the future! I also want to say the book cover is absolutely gorgeous.4.5 STARS!!!

*This is a standalone romance. The other books of The Falling Series will be about other couples.
