Equal parts Dexter and 50 Shades, this is the eagerly awaited new novel from A. R. Torre, author of the award winning erotic thriller, The Girl in 6E.
The rules are the same. I can't open the door. I can't leave. I can't kill anyone.
The only difference is, I don't set the rules anymore. Guards in grey uniforms do. It is everything I never wanted and everything I always deserved. I write to you now, from a prison cell. My home for the next twenty to thirty years.
That's the going term for murder.
“To girls with broken hearts and vengeful souls. Go forth and raise hell.”
If You Dare was a really good book! It was fast-paced, engaging, and just a really fun thriller. I will even dare to say it is my favorite of the series, and maybe even my favorite Alessandra Torre book right behind Blindfolded Innocence.
Even though If You Dare is not exactly a romance or erotica, there is still something really sexy about it. The story oozes erotism and sexuality. Sometimes the characters would only share a glance or have a short text conversation, but that was all it would take to turn me on.
This is a DeAnna Madden novel so the action was full throttle. The suspense had me flipping the pages all day because I was so intrigued to find how the storyline was going to play out. Every single plot development and twist had me craving more, more, more. I enjoy these type of erotic thrillers a great deal.
My favorite secondary character in this series has been Mike. I don’t know why, but I have gravitated to him the most. He has been the person DeAnna has counted on throughout her “adventures” in camming and vigilante escapades. View Spoiler »I have been dying for them to meet in person, and I am kinda disappointed that didn’t happen in this book. « Hide Spoiler I am excited we got to meet Dr. Derek though, and I really hope Ms. Torre decided to write another DeAnna Madden novel.
Like I said at the beginning, this book was so good, and I enjoyed it so much. DeAnna is such a unique character that never ceases to surprise readers. This series continues to get better and better, and fingers crossed the author will write more about these characters. I would love MORE of Derek, Mike, and DeAnna!
