What happens when two dreams collide?

Fed up with the farm life and his one-time love of training horses, John Wilson has traded his tattered boots and jeans for power suits and cufflinks. Through hard work and determination, John has just graduated from law school and is focused on a fresh start. Refusing to let his bitter past hinder his future, John is intent on moving forward with his new life.

Except there’s one last thing he has to do—settle old debts before he can truly move on.

Unfortunately, settling debts involves him returning to a life he’s worked hard to forget. A mind-numbing summer working on a horse farm awaits him, and he’s dreading every damn minute of it.

Edie James is mourning the loss of her grandfather when John Wilson shows up in his perfectly tailored suit, reeking sexiness and city elegance—everything she’s not. Their meeting is less than pleasant as they both distastefully size up one another.

She thinks he’s arrogant and a white-collar yuppie.

He thinks she’s a simple, goody two-shoes farm girl.

Edie’s grandfather made a new will before he passed leaving stipulations in order for Edie to inherit the family farm. And as if that wasn’t enough of a challenge, the suit has to work on the farm with her for three months to settle a debt he owed to her grandfather.

And he’s moving in with her.

With a rocky start, the two seemingly polar opposites call a truce and attempt to be friends. As their unexpected friendship blooms, an attraction develops and both realize their first impression of each other is far from the truth. Now this once dreaded summer is set to be the hottest and most unforgettable they've ever had.(less)

What a cute, fun and deliciously sexy book! I had so much fun reading this and loved the characters. This is perfect lazy day romance read that has low angst, an enjoyable story and did I mention it was fun and sexy?

Edie has been raised on a horse farm training horses most of her life but after losing her beloved grandfather, her future is looking a little fuzzy. She works hard and loves what she does but forces beyond her control have ideas about her future and who should help her with the farm that she never knew about until her grandfathers death. She’s stubborn and feisty but so adorably confident and unknowingly sexy that you can’t help but love her and her quirky ways. She’s also a little tired of her humdrum life and “good girl” reputation in her small town and reads books to escape life… and boy oh boy does she have an imagination!

“My name is Anita…Anita Hardcock.”

John Wilson (The Suit) grew up on a horse farm and wants to be as far away from that that life as possible. He’s just finished law school and is about ready to take the bar exam but the death of Edie’s grandfather drags him back to a life he wanted to forget…or did he? As a way to repay Edie’s grandfather for a debt he owes, John commits himself to working a summer at Edie’s horse farm. The problem? Edie has no idea who he is, the debt he owes her grandfather or his plans to work on her farm…while living in the house as her roommate! He also has a few secrets he’s neglected to tell dear Edie.

The banter between these two was hysterical and to say they started out on rocky ground is an understatement. However, one fateful day when she catches him reading one of her romance novels becomes a game changer for them and what a sexy game changer it was!! Of course, feelings come into to play and emotions get involved but what about their future? John is only meant to work on the farm for the summer before he heads back to his dream of becoming a lawyer and Edie’s life is at the farm.

“I wish like hell I could be your Mr.Right, Edie James.”

I cannot talk about his book without mentioning the best friends Nikki and Parker. What fun characters! Nikki was an absolute riot and so, so good for Edie and I hope we get more of her in a future book!

“Here’s to the people we fuck. Here’s to the people who fuck us, if the people we fuck are fucking with us. Fuck them and here’s to us!”
