Review of The Dark Light of Day by T.M. Frazier

Caution: This is not your typical romance. The story of Abby & Jake contains disturbing situations, graphic violence, sex, strong language, drug use, and all types of abuse.

Abby has been through hell and has survived one of the most brutal childhoods imaginable…barely.

To the outside world she is just a loner with an attitude.

When her grandmother dies in a tragic explosion, Abby is left with questions-and nothing else.

Homeless, sleeping in a junkyard, and on the run from a system that has failed her over and over again, she meets Jake, a tattooed blue-eyed biker with secrets that rival her own.

Two broken souls that can’t be healed. They can’t be saved.

Abby & Jake have to decide if they can accept the darkness not only within one another, but within themselves.

If they can accept each other for who they really are, they might be able to learn that love isn’t always found in the light.

Wow oh wow!! Where do I even begin on this. I freaking loved this book. The Dark Light of Day is one raw, gritty, heart wrenching love stories. All too much we read the same old thing over and over. Not many authors will step outside of that box. T.M. Frazier takes us  far from that comfy  box.

My soul hurt for Abby almost the whole book. I wanted her to get redemption so damn bad, I could taste in my mouth. I wanted to jump in the book,  grab her hand and say lets go kick some ass girl. My adrenaline was pumping  through the roof. I COULD NOT PUT IT DOWN.

Abby, has a shit life from the beginning. After a horrible incident she ends up with her Grandma. Who  for the first time shows her what love and affection are. Then she loses her Grandam not long after, she is now left homeless. Thats when she meets Jake, the sexy badass who into town on his motorcycle.

Jake is just as broken as Abby. He has comeback to help save his drunk Dad’s business from going under. He never planned on staying long, until he laid eyes on a stubborn little redhead.

“Sick, twisted Abby was in love with sick , twisted,  beautiful Jake.”

There is so much fucked-up-ness that happens in this book I can’t even go there. You have to read to experience it your self. That is what this book is, its a experience. I have fallen in love with T.M. Frazier writing. All the different details she has in this story. You can tell it all comes from her own head and not some generic crap!!! I messaged her after I was done with the book and told her I needed to smoke a bowl with Abby to calm myself down LOL I was so worked up!!!

“I would rather fight with him than have a normal conversation with anyone else.”

So if you love originality, and a darker read then this book is for you. It will break your heart in a oh-so beautiful way.

“But only because he had experienced tremendous love. When you experience a love as great as he did, it’s easy to let the sadness and anger consume you. It’s easier to turn away from those you still have left and give yourself over to the numbness. He invited the pain in because it helped him remember”
