Bethany’s Year in Books! 2016

Hello! It’s the end of 2016 and I thought I’d share a wrap up of the books I read and the BIG STANDOUTS of the year. Below are some of my Goodreads stats. I ended up finishing 158 books which surpassed my goal of 125. I am surprised Fearless was my longest book read. I thought for sure it would have been Empire of Storms.

FAVORITE SERIES

2016 seemed to be the year of series for me. I read some amazing and epic series. Here are some of the standouts. I definitely recommend all of these. It is just so much fun to binge read a series from start to finish.

FAVORITE REREAD

I rarely reread books. Only my very favorites occasionally. I read Corrupt by Penelope Douglas twice this year. The first time was back in January as an ebook, then a few months later as an audiobook. It was even better the second time around!

FAVORITE AUDIOBOOKS

It’s no secret that I am addicted to audiobooks. They are actually my preferred method of reading nowadays. If a book has an audio version I will click on it every time. Whispersync is my best friend!

Illuminae is everything! Talk about some creative writing by the authors! And the full cast of narrators took this imaginative story to the next level.

The Irin Chronicles is an incredible series on it’s own. However, Zachary Webber’s narration makes it so much better. His voice… O-M-G! He is my favorite narrator for a reason, people.
