Personal

Welcome to Lit Slave. I am a wife and mom. I don’t have a lot of extra time. This isn’t a blog looking to get popular or complete with others. We are readers who love to READ, simple as that. 😉

About 2 years ago after reading Fifty Shades of Grey, I found Maryse’s Book Blog and that was it!!! My obsession grew to a full blown addiction. I’m sure if you’re reading this you know what I mean. When I first started reading, I got lost in the world of contemporary romance and erotica…then I picked up a little book called Captive in the Dark and holy shit, that brought me to a whole new level of books…and I love it!!!

I have to give a shout out to my original Goodreads homies! I love them all and wouldn’t have such a kick ass library of great books, without them.

Favorites

I live for a soul filling LOVE story and I am a sucker for angst (it’s like my crack). I seem to fall for the lovable jerks! (Kane-Tack-Allen, Deuce West, Joe Callahan, Bass Cole…) My top book right now is Blind Obsession by Ella Frank. My favorite author is Kristen Ashley; reading one of her books is like going home for me. Best series I have read is Experiment in Terror by Karina Halle; I not only love Dex, but Perry is a kick ass leading lady. UPDATE: I just finished The Bronze Horseman by Paullina Simons…I am in awww of this book, the author, the characters and their love story. This is by far the BEST book I have ever read!!

Personal

I’m a Tennessean, mom of three boys, and a wife of one hunky husband. I am addicted to coffee and books. I also tend to stalk my favorite authors on social media. I average reading two novels per week. I love sharing my reviews with friends and other book lovers on Goodreads, Facebook, Twitter, and Amazon. I am a member of several online book groups, and I love discovering and promoting new, up-and-coming authors as well as my favorite established authors.

  1. Hi Erin, Sarah, Kristi and Bethany,

I would appreciate it if you would consider reviewing my debut novella, erotic romance Spice, published by Harper Collins, on your blog. I would also love to be considered for giveaways, interviews, blog tours, etc. I’m pretty new to this so don’t mind being pointed in the right direction.

    Here’s the blurb:
Magazine writer Jess gets her latest freelance assignment – can anyone go from Vanilla to kinky in just fourteen days – and would they even want to?
Jess’s editor, Leyla wants to jump on the ‘mommy porn’ bandwagon, with a sexy blog, and she thinks Jess is just the girl to do it. Jess is given the List, which gives each sexy scenario and also the names and numbers of people who indulge in the weird and wonderful sex stuff, should she wish to ask their advice or expert opinion.

Jess’s latest freelance assignment is a “list” of sexy scenarios to try out. Her busy boyfriend Max is enthusiastic about the variety of sensual adventures. Until they reach the “threesome” option. Max is keen, but if they go too far will they risk everything?

It would be great to get the chance to work with you and I look forward to hearing from you.

    Thanks

    Scarlet Smith

  2. Please could you consider reviewing my new audiobook, “Invisible Threads” (Audible Books, Feb 16th 2017). Set in India, the genre is adult romance / suspense. There is a short summary at the foot of this emails. I was honoured to lead a talk about this book at the Jaipur Literary Festival in January this year. In addition to being the author of 4 books, I host a weekly radio show in the UK on sex and relationships and appear regularly on TV in my capacity as an agony aunt and social commentator. More information is available at http://www.lucyberesford.co.uk If you are interested in reviewing the audiobook, I will be delighted to send you a free link. Very many thanks for your time and consideration. Best wishes, Lucy
    Plot summary:

When Pritti is kidnapped by the people behind a Devadasi temple, Sara must dig deep to rescue her.

  3. Bethany or Erin,
I would love to send you a copy of my book, Hopatcong Vision Quest, for your review. The print and ebook versions are published by Solstice Publishing. It’s a mystery, but also historical fiction. It takes place at Lake Hopatcong, NJ during modern times and at the same location when the area was populated by Lenape Native Americans.

    Comments from reviews:

“An enticing, engaging novel I highly recommend.” – DM Denton
“…deftly plotted and extremely well written” – Matthew Peters
“A fascinating view of ancient tribal beliefs bleeding into the present day.” – Sheila Englehart

    A Brief synopsis:

With the help of a hypnotist, Diane, Ryan, and Martha look into their hidden memories, hoping to use past life experiences to solve the murders of two people they loved. The trail to the justice they seek runs through a life they shared hundreds of years earlier, in a Native American village.

Oota Dabun, Diane’s counterpart in her past life, always dreamed of having a vision quest, a rite normally reserved for the young men of her village. This Lenape woman reaches for her dream in an unusual and compassionate fashion which teaches Diane a great deal about the capacity of the soul they share.

Please let me know if you would like a copy and where to send it.

Thank you so much for your consideration.
    Steve Lindahl

  4. Hello Ladies,
    Tears of Glass – Audiobook
If any of you feel mad enough to take this on – then good luck to you.
Ostensibly a Thriller, but essentially a love story whereby the macho, failure of an anti-hero is bettered by a spunky lady and eventually finds redemption through her ministrations and through the music of of a failed songwriter.
There are 14 bluesy tracks of love and loss woven into the narrative. Just curl up with a log fire, bottle of wine and a significant other and all will be well with the world.
    Stunning reviews in UK National Press, TV and Radio including ;
‘ A wonderful, scintillating package, in which words and music speak to the heart and mind about the importance of truth and of love and on honesty,’
BBC TV The Slate/ Late Show
    Regards,
    David Lake
