Review, Interview, Excerpts + Giveaway: Commodity by Shay Savage

Review, Interview, Excerpts + Giveaway: Commodity by Shay Savage

Commodity by Shay Savage on October 18, 2015 Buy on Amazon Goodreads Genres: Romance, Science Fiction, Suspense Source: ARC via author A woman hunted by human traffickers.A hot and dangerous bodyguard.Complete destruction. The end of civilization. The beginning of a new form of currency.Women are now the highest COMMODITY. Review I don’t know about you guys, but sometimes I get tired of reading the same old, same old. In the contemporary romance genre the storylines can sometimes feel similar, start to run together, and just become stale. That is why I am so happy Shay Savage decided to shake things up a bit with Commodity. It is so different from what I normally read, especially the setting. It’s the end of the world basically. Everyone has either disappeared or died, and only a very few humans remain. The storyline is one of the most intense I have read in a long time. […]

Fall Reading & Creepy Stories!

Fall Reading & Creepy Stories!

Fall is in the air! Leaves changing colors, bonfires, smores, hoodies, football, pumpkins. It’s that time of year when you want to curl up with a fleece blanket and read certain kinds of books. Something Fall-ish, maybe something creepy, mysterious, and about the things that go bump in the night. Here are a few recommendations, and we think there’s a little bit of something for everyone: Fall-ish Romances I recently read this 3-book series from M.J. Haag. If you love Beauty and the Beast then A Beastly Tale definitely worth checking out because the first book is FREE! The author puts her own spin of the classic fairytale. This really was a great fall read because there’s an apple harvest that is major part of the plot. I’d classify this as New Adult Fantasy. Amazon | Goodreads We absolutely adored Penny Reid’s Truth or Beard. We first met the Winston […]

ERIN’S September Book Wrap Up!

ERIN’S September Book Wrap Up!

September was a great reading month for me. I kind of went on a review/blogging hiatus. Between school starting and getting back in the mom groove again. I read, and sometimes skimmed parts, that bored me. Lol! If I am reading an ARC I read every word, not wanting to miss a thing. Reviewing has that thought in the back of my head, knowing I have to write about this after and it puts a certain pressure on my reading zen. When I read for my own pure pleasure, I am a skimmer! Yep, I love the dialogue between the MC’s and some of the stuff in between isn’t entertaining to me so I just skim on by. The point to all that is, when I read whatever I finish a book and pick one up right after and so on. It’s so fun, almost like stretching out the book […]
